Central Staffs CrossFit, owned by former Royal Engineers operator Tim Fearnett, is one of the UK’s largest CrossFit boxes with 160+ members. When COVID-19 lockdowns closed the facility, Tim faced the twin challenges of keeping members engaged and sustaining operations remotely while managing equipment limitations and member anxiety.

Tim pivoted to a structured online offering using TeamUp’s integration with Zoom and Boxmate for easy booking, automatic meeting links, attendance tracking and programming. He added an equipment-loan program, evening classes, mobility sessions and social activities to preserve community and accountability — saving staff time, keeping members committed (with targets of 20+ daily attendees), and receiving strong positive feedback while maintaining smooth operations.
