How fitness trainer Sam Beagle revived his group PT business

uFit is a Windsor-based group and semi-private training studio led by owner Sam Beagle, who temporarily closed the business after lease issues, repeated flood damage, a lengthy legal battle, and repeated licensing rejections. Rather than give up, Sam persevered through relocations and regulatory setbacks and — after UK licensing rules changed during COVID — secured a new 3,000 sq ft studio to relaunch the brand.

To relaunch uFit he leaned on the studio’s strong community, a timed “Founders” membership strategy and simple, reliable software. By pre-selling tiered memberships and using TeamUp for bookings, reporting and member communications, Sam sold out key founder tiers, secured roughly 75 returning clients in the first month and generated interest from more than 100 people, while freeing time and gaining actionable business insights to support future growth, including a coaches academy.
