The Solar Jackets design and build solar racing vehicles with TeamGantt

Georgia Tech Solar Racing (The Solar Jackets) is a student-run nonprofit that designs and builds solar-powered race cars for national and international competitions. Their challenge was coordinating dozens of students across mechanical, electrical, and composites teams to deliver many interdependent components on a tight race schedule.

Using TeamGantt’s detailed Gantt charts and built-in collaboration features, they mapped dependencies, assigned tasks, and kept cross-disciplinary teams aligned in real time. The result was smoother communication and scheduling that enabled the team to build and race their solar car on time, providing a clear logistical edge over the competition.
