The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) needed to upgrade and migrate its extensive content management systems, including over 80 TB of secure data, from an on-premises service provider to a more modern and cost-effective platform. To meet this challenge, they partnered with vendor TEAM IM and Deloitte to utilize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and upgrade their Oracle WebCenter Content instances.
TEAM IM implemented a comprehensive "lift and shift" strategy to migrate TCEQ's entire system to OCI, upgrading all software and incorporating Oracle Elasticsearch to improve search functionality. The results provided TCEQ with a more secure, modern system featuring increased computing power, significant potential cost savings on storage, and faster response times, enhancing their ability to serve the citizens of Texas.
