The customer, Hertz franchisee Tony McDonald, faced the challenge of managing a vast and growing volume of physical rental documents. This manual, paper-based system consumed valuable office space, required costly offsite storage, and made retrieving client information a slow and inefficient process for his staff. He contacted vendor TEAM IM to find a digital solution, which led to the implementation of the M-Files enterprise content management system.

TEAM IM designed and implemented a solution utilizing M-Files and ChronoScan OCR software to automatically capture data, name files, and digitally archive documents. This eliminated manual data entry and freed staff to focus on value-adding tasks. The results included dramatically faster document retrieval, improved customer service, and the reclamation of physical storage space. Due to the success of the initial project, TEAM IM was subsequently engaged to automate the franchise's accounts payable invoice processing.
