East Coast-based Regional Company - Customer Case Study

The customer, an East Coast-based regional chapter of an international workers union, faced challenges with an outdated, manual document management system. Their process for handling membership forms was inefficient, relying on physical paperwork and a soon-to-expire Square 9 (SQ9) license. They partnered with vendor TEAM IM to modernize their systems and migrate approximately 730,000 files to a new digital platform to streamline member engagement.

TEAM IM successfully migrated all documents and metadata from SQ9 and implemented a new, fully digital application process utilizing a QR code and eSignature technology. When a key technology component was deprecated shortly after launch, TEAM IM quickly developed a custom Angular webform solution at no additional cost, ensuring a seamless transition. The results included resolving past issues with missing files, making information more discoverable with Hot Folders, and completely eliminating paper-based processes for membership applications and grievance forms.
