Anghami, the Beirut-founded music streaming platform with 98 million registered users and the largest first‑party data pool in MENA, needed a way to monetise the consented data off‑app and open a programmatic advertising revenue stream without relying on multiple walled gardens. The challenge was to make diverse listener data usable and portable so advertisers could reach Anghami audiences outside the app with accuracy and scale.
Working with Tealium, Anghami used a Customer Data Platform to clean, unify and segment data (applying ML to assign 55+ attributes per user) and migrated 98 million profiles in ten days via AWS. The cleaned audiences were pushed to marketing platforms and DSPs—matching about 25% of users by mobile ID for device‑level ads—unlocking new programmatic revenue and richer audience insights.
