Wicomico County turns to TCP Software for attendance automation

Wicomico County, MD IT Department faced cumbersome, error-prone workforce management: 16 departments, a large hourly workforce tracked in Excel, lengthy payroll rechecks, and an ERP module that didn’t justify its cost. To modernize time and attendance and improve integration with payroll, the County engaged TCP and adopted TCP’s TimeClock Plus platform.

TCP implemented TimeClock Plus, migrated the County’s systems to the cloud, and deployed Proximity Time Clocks for contactless in-person punches. The solution integrated with payroll and ERP, enabled remote access during COVID-19 with no missed paychecks, and “drastically” reduced the Detention Center’s payroll processing (previously a full pay week), cutting redundant effort and improving accuracy across the County.
