A TCP Software Case Study
Western University of Health Sciences, a 23‑staff university library founded in 1977, faced staffing challenges from long hours and the need to guarantee minimum on-site coverage (2–3 people) and constant front‑desk staffing. Their previous desktop scheduling software was limited to a few schedulers and offered no way to communicate schedules to staff other than printed postings. To address this, they turned to TCP Software and its Humanity workforce management/scheduling solution.
TCP Software implemented Humanity as a cloud work scheduler (and time clock) to publish schedules to all staff and track an hourly employee, giving the library real‑time visibility and access to schedules. The result: schedules are consistently communicated, scheduling is easier to manage, the team has adopted the time clock for hourly staff, and staff report improved staffing coordination — “It has made it easier to manage scheduling.”
