A TCP Software Case Study
Trees Organic Coffee, a Vancouver-based cafe chain founded in 1996 that now operates four locations with just under 50 staff, faced the common hospitality challenge of building daily and day-part schedules around fluctuating customer volumes, multiple skill sets and varied employee availabilities. Their prior process relied on drafting shifts in Excel and posting a printed schedule, which made it hard to manage shift swaps, day-off requests and last-minute changes. To address this, Trees Organic Coffee adopted TCP Software’s Humanity workforce scheduling platform.
TCP Software implemented Humanity to give staff remote access to schedules, automated reminder notifications, and tools for managing availabilities and day-off requests. As a result, Trees Organic Coffee saw fewer “I didn’t realize I was scheduled” incidents, easier handling of requests and reduced administrative overhead for managers; staff and leadership also praised TCP Software’s responsive support and clear product updates.
