A TCP Software Case Study
Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis’ Campus Center, which employs fewer than 60 student workers and 7 professional staff, struggled with a paper-based scheduling process that could take one to two weeks, created many email exchanges, made shift trading and real-time availability difficult, and left managers unable to project payroll. To address these challenges they adopted TCP Software’s Humanity total workforce management solution, a web-based scheduling and workforce platform.
TCP Software implemented Humanity’s scheduling, open-shift reporting, reporting and training features (including mobile app access and quiz-based training tracking), giving the Campus Center a single place to manage schedules, trades and HR tasks. The result: the lengthy 1–2 week manual scheduling process was eliminated, staff availability issues were resolved, managers can now see projected payroll and open-shift uptake, and training completion and scores are tracked—streamlining HR and payroll operations across the center.
