Texas Tech University improves timekeeping system for 20K employees with TCP Software

Texas Tech University System, a four-campus system serving over 49,000 students and roughly 20,000 employees, faced fragmented timekeeping across Banner Web Time Entry, TimeClock Plus, other clocks and home-grown systems. This decentralized mix required a manual spreadsheet “gateway” into Banner, created audit risk and reporting inaccuracies, so the university selected TimeClock Plus as the single, campus‑wide timekeeping solution to provide a reliable Banner interface and reduce human error.

TimeClock Plus built a Banner feed (running twice daily and on demand), provided configurable per‑department company setups, and worked with TTUS to customize CAS authentication and an audit‑mode/pre‑edit workflow with ePrint reports. The result was cleaner, more accurate Banner data, a clear audit trail, faster error correction, eliminated spreadsheet gateways, and reported labor‑savings that in some areas recovered the cost of implementation — all achieved through TimeClock Plus’s integrated solution.
