Stephen F. Austin State University steps up its payroll workflow with TCP Software

Stephen F. Austin State University faced a fragmented, labor‑intensive payroll and timekeeping process—mechanical clocks, paper timesheets and departmental spreadsheets required repeated manual entry into Banner®, caused auditing headaches, late submissions and incorrect FLSA comp time handling. To unify campus time and attendance and integrate with its Banner ERP, the university selected TimeClock Plus (TCP) to replace paper workflows and accommodate department‑specific needs.

TimeClock Plus deployed an enterprise solution (biometric readers where needed, a timesheet option, and Banner export/import integration), provided a dedicated project owner and on‑site support, and went live campus‑wide by September 1, 2010. The TCP implementation automated payroll and leave reporting, eliminated printed timesheets and bulky filing, improved auditing and compliance, and achieved broad adoption—more than 1,900 employees clock in daily and roughly 75% of departments use the timesheet function—while remaining in use and delivering benefits 4½+ years later.
