A TCP Software Case Study
Purple Foundation, Inc. is an all‑volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit that produces the annual Purple Party Weekend and other fundraisers to support people in the Dallas area affected by HIV/AIDS. Managing a small core staff of 13 board volunteers plus approximately 75–100 additional event volunteers created a scheduling challenge: many volunteers only interact with the schedule once, so communications needed to be simple and not require extra training. To address this, Purple Foundation adopted Humanity from TCP Software as their volunteer scheduling solution.
TCP Software’s Humanity replaced the prior hand‑written and spreadsheet-based process, providing responsive support and a simpler scheduling interface that accommodates occasional users. According to Purple Foundation, Humanity is “very useful in our scheduling needs,” and it now helps them coordinate their 13 board members and the roughly 75–100 event volunteers with fewer manual processes and clearer communications.
