A TCP Software Case Study
Lancaster Ambulance (Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corps) is an all‑volunteer emergency medical service founded in 1958 that relies on donations and community support. With more than 40 volunteers and a mix of core, part‑time and volunteer staff, the organization struggled with paper and Excel schedules that made tracking shifts, trades and coverage difficult — requiring volunteers and dispatchers to call or visit the station for updates. To address this, they adopted TCP Software’s Humanity shift‑scheduling solution.
TCP Software implemented Humanity to provide an online, centrally managed schedule that volunteers and staff can access from anywhere. As a result, Lancaster Ambulance reports greatly improved rostering and shift coverage, easier tracking of schedule changes, fewer phone‑ins and station visits, and overall more reliable operations — outcomes the unit explicitly attributes to TCP Software’s Humanity platform.
