KenCom 911, the first unified county communications center in Illinois, was outgrowing its manual scheduling process as staffing increased. Before 2015, the team managed schedules in Excel and handled documentation on paper, making it difficult to keep up with operators, training, overtime, and other dispatch needs. KenCom 911 turned to TCP Software’s Aladtec scheduling software to move to a more automated system.
TCP Software implemented Aladtec to manage dispatch schedules, training, events, overtime sign-ups, and a wide range of forms for time off, shift trades, QA/QI, and reporting. The result was better schedule tracking, more efficient documentation, and improved staff connectedness, with employees now able to view their schedules from home and check overtime and cancellations at any time.
