A TCP Software Case Study
Harris Hill Soaring Corporation is a non-profit gliding club with about 105 volunteer “employees” who staff public ride operations April–October. The club’s scheduler struggled with a manual Excel roster: overlapping shift requests, unfilled shifts, tow‑plane qualification restrictions, family scheduling preferences, and the need to track double shifts — all requiring time‑consuming phone calls and emails. To address this, they adopted Humanity from TCP Software for employee scheduling.
TCP Software’s Humanity lets members enter vacations and unavailability, sign up for entire seasons, and self‑select shifts so the scheduler only fills remaining gaps. The switch eliminated much of the back‑and‑forth, made it easy to honor qualifications and pairing preferences, and streamlined monthly roster closure for all 105 volunteers — with faster, more reliable scheduling and responsive support from TCP Software.
