A TCP Software Case Study
Four Winds Coffee & Tea in Grand Junction is a small nonprofit coffee shop run by the Christ Center that employs eight mostly college-student workers. With hours Monday–Friday from 6 a.m. to midnight and four or more shifts daily, manually writing schedules was time-consuming and difficult to coordinate around classes and time-off requests. To solve this staffing challenge they turned to TCP Software’s scheduling product, Humanity.
TCP Software implemented Humanity to show real-time availability, simplify shift assignment and provide a Message Wall for group communication. The result: scheduling that once took an hour or more is now fast and much less labor-intensive, freeing the director—who also works nearly 10 hours a week in the shop—to focus on other duties, while improving team communication and overall workforce management. TCP Software’s Humanity won a strong recommendation from Four Winds for its time- and cost-saving impact.
