Tidal Tubines adds new test capabilities in under eight weeks with TBG Solutions

TBG Solutions developed an automated test system for Tidal Tubines to address the challenge of creating a versatile platform for functional and in-circuit testing across multiple product ranges. The system needed to be easily reconfigurable and scalable for future expansion while operating effectively in an electrically noisy environment that limited data transmission distances.

The solution implemented by TBG Solutions was a PXI-based system using National Instruments hardware and a MacPanel Scout interface. It features modular software and interchangeable test adaptors (ITAs), allowing new products to be supported quickly. This system successfully reduced the cost of ownership and lead times for new test capabilities while improving test performance, accuracy, and throughput. TBG Solutions can design and produce a new ITA for this platform in under eight weeks.
