Nuvia, an international nuclear engineering, project management and services contractor, faced the challenge of monitoring and recording impact data on a nuclear waste fuel processing prototype. They engaged TBG Solutions to engineer a specialized monitoring system for this task.

TBG Solutions delivered a distributed system that utilized nearly 40 strain bridge circuits routed through field boxes. The solution included signal conditioning to protect the operator and ensure accurate readings from signals prone to fluctuation. The system successfully retrieved diagnostic information, providing detailed analysis of part strain and 3D readouts to show where strain was being exerted compared to a threshold level.
