Doosan Babcock modernizes 450-channel test facility with TBG Solutions

Doosan Babcock, a major energy company and Fortune 500 conglomerate, required a major upgrade to the software controlling its Multi Fuel Burner Test Facility in Glasgow. The original system was outdated, and the company needed a more powerful solution that could easily adapt to test new clean burn technologies and fuels. TBG Solutions was engaged to engineer a new control system to meet this challenge.

TBG Solutions redesigned and replaced the entire plant control software using LabVIEW, replicating the functionality and interface of the original system while future-proofing it. The new system provides easy addition or removal of features to reflect hardware changes. As a result, Doosan Babcock now has a powerful, flexible system with the added advantage of fast and easy implementation of new software features for testing future technologies.
