Microsoft Corporation needed a more secure and predictable way to move enterprises to hybrid cloud, since using the public internet created security risks and many “hybrid” setups lacked true private connectivity. To address this, Microsoft partnered with Tata Communications and used Azure ExpressRoute with Tata Communications’ IZO Private Connect service.

Tata Communications helped implement a private, MPLS-based connection between on-premises environments and Microsoft Azure, delivering secure, dedicated, high-throughput access with predictable performance. The result was a stronger hybrid cloud offering with lower cost, global access, and improved business continuity; the service also promised up to 1 Gbps speeds and 100% availability with consistent network performance.
