Agrotech Company partnered with Tasq.ai to solve a difficult data labeling challenge: identifying tiny pests in millions of aerial field images. With only about 2% of images containing the target, their internal data science team was spending huge amounts of time reviewing images that often had no pest at all, making the process inefficient and slow.

Tasq.ai implemented its Grid Technology and micro-task workflow to break each image into smaller sections, train labelers with a Gold Dataset, and use human review plus ML-assisted bounding boxes to identify and classify pests with high confidence. The result was 30x faster labeling, 99% accuracy, and the ability to process up to 1M images per day, accelerating Agrotech Company’s roadmap by 9 months.
