Case Study: Amgros saves DKK 2.8 billion annually for Denmark’s public health sector with TARGIT Decision Suite

A TARGIT Case Study

Preview of the Amgros Case Study

Saving the public health sector DKK 2.8 billion a year with TARGIT Decision Suite

Amgros is the centralized pharmaceutical procurement service for Denmark’s five regional authorities, responsible for buying 99% of public hospital medicines and delivering roughly DKK 2.8 billion in annual savings. Management lacked a unified view of data—key information was trapped in PDFs and spreadsheets, reporting was slow and non-interactive, and users couldn’t drill into root causes.

Implementing TARGIT Decision Suite together with a Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse consolidated internal and external sources, provided nightly updates, and deployed storyboards and a BI strategy for self-service analytics. The result was faster, organization-wide insight and decision-making, reduced time spent on data retrieval, and stronger support for procurement actions that preserve and optimize the sector’s annual savings.
