Paks Nuclear Power Plant Transforming Training with Manifest AR Work Instructions

The Paks Nuclear Power Plant (Paksi Atomerőmű) faced significant training challenges, including a lengthy two-year time-to-independence for new technicians and the need to modernize its approach for incoming generations of workers. To address this, the plant partnered with vendor Taqtile to implement its Manifest platform, an AI-powered AR solution for creating digital work instructions.

Taqtile's Manifest provided hands-free, step-by-step guidance on HoloLens 2 headsets and iPads, incorporating 3D digital twins and multimedia. The solution enabled inexperienced technicians to independently perform complex tasks, such as assembling a component without prior experience. Instructors reported the platform was easy to use and master, and the plant trusts it will significantly shorten the training period to independence.
