A Taqtile Case Study
Extral, a leading manufacturer of aluminum packaging products in Mexico, faced challenges in training new operators for complex production line changeovers and in troubleshooting machine failures. Their lengthy, theoretical training process delayed operator readiness, while diagnostics relied on the trial-and-error of a small group of experts, leading to inconsistencies and downtime. To address this, they partnered with Taqtile and implemented its Manifest platform.
Using Taqtile's Manifest, Extral created detailed, augmented reality-guided work instructions for training and interactive decision-tree procedures for machine diagnostics. This solution enabled hands-on training from an operator's first day and allowed less-experienced technicians to perform accurate diagnostics. The results for Extral included dramatically accelerated onboarding, a reduction in a specific sensor diagnostic process from six hours to one, and significant decreases in production scrap and downtime.
