Drivemode, a mobile app designed to make phone use safer while driving, wanted to scale its American user base while keeping cost per install low. To help meet this goal, the company worked with Taptica and tested Facebook’s new Canvas ad format for app installs.

Taptica used its immersive creative and proprietary auto-optimization platform to launch and continuously refine large-scale Facebook campaigns based on post-install events and performance rules. The approach shifted budget toward the best-performing ads, and the Canvas units ultimately drove 60% of total installs at 5% lower CPI, along with 60% higher CTRs, a 10/10 Facebook ad relevance score, and 40% more installs within one week.
