360 Mobile Security, the maker of the 360 Security app, wanted to grow global adoption while keeping user quality high. The company needed paid acquisition to match or exceed the quality of its organic users, and it also had to do so cost-effectively at an average CPI of $0.15. To meet these goals, it partnered with Taptica, using Facebook campaigns to drive installs.
Taptica built and optimized programmatic Facebook campaigns for 360 Security, segmenting audiences by gender, market, and other factors while testing and refining creative assets. The winning creative featured the app on a mobile phone with a blue background. Over one month, Taptica delivered nearly 400,000 installs across 100+ markets, with about two-thirds of users matching or beating organic quality based on 7-day retention, all while hitting the $0.15 CPI target.
