Slite launches 16 million-color lighting app with Tapptitude

Slite, a company creating portable lighting solutions for artists and creatives, faced the challenge of developing a robust mobile app to seamlessly control their hardware via Bluetooth. The project required navigating complex firmware integration and catering to diverse user needs across different industries, all while ensuring an intuitive and human-centric experience. They partnered with the vendor Tapptitude for product definition, design, and mobile development services to overcome this.

Tapptitude developed a slick and intuitive iOS and Android app that allows users to easily set up and control multiple lights remotely. The solution included features for creating custom effects, fine-tuning over 16 million colors, and an instant color picker, which minimized setup time and maximized creative time for users. The resulting app was almost flawless and contributed to Slite winning a “Best in Class” Good Design Award in 2022. Tapptitude's work was praised for its robustness, responsiveness, and deep knowledge of lighting and electronics.
