CISE, a Black-owned fashion brand, initially did not want to deal with the development and maintenance of a mobile app as a resource-strapped startup. The challenge arose when the brand needed a way to engage its audience and showcase its mission-driven merchandise at New York Fashion Week and other in-person activations, without a complex technical project.
The vendor, Tapcart, provided a Shopify-integrated mobile app that was built in under a week. The solution enabled CISE to communicate directly with its community via push notifications, drive engagement at events with QR codes, and create an immersive shopping experience. The results were significant, with Tapcart helping CISE achieve a 165.4% higher conversion rate on the app versus its mobile website and a 117.9% higher rate versus desktop.
