Increase in Employees Reporting Hazards

Lendlease Maintenance Services partnered with Tap into Safety to address safety training needs for a major road maintenance project in Western Australia. The challenge was ensuring that a large, diverse workforce of both employees and over 1000 subcontractors over three years could work safely on active road sites, with a specific focus on hazards involving mobile plant and live traffic.

Tap into Safety developed five custom-built online safety training courses that became a mandatory part of the project induction. This solution led to a 100% increase in hazard reporting and a 10% reduction in the Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR), as staff were better equipped to identify and rectify risks. Lendlease reported that the visual training approach from Tap into Safety significantly improved knowledge retention and safety outcomes.
