Xact Technology, a provider of the XactTrax GPS tracking device, needed a high-performance, multiband cellular antenna small enough to fit into their credit card-sized unit. Their challenge was finding a highly sensitive, embedded antenna that was more reliable and robust than typical ceramic options to meet strict performance and regulatory standards. They partnered with antenna vendor Taoglas to address this.

Taoglas provided their PA.25a ceramic-loaded antenna. The solution was highly effective, passing PTCRB regulatory approval on the first attempt and delivering superior reception, even in low-coverage areas. The robust antenna’s performance ensured the XactTrax device met the highest market standards, leading Xact Technology to state they would use Taoglas for future products.
