Taoglas helps Benetel with antenna design for a new indoor 5G Open RAN RU

Benetel, an Irish company designing radio units for 4G and 5G networks, faced the challenge of developing its high-performance indoor RAN550 radio. They required a compact, low-profile antenna that was ground plane independent and could be integrated quickly to meet a short time-to-market. Taoglas provided the solution with its PA.176.A 5G/4G high-band cellular SMD antenna.

The solution from Taoglas was a customized assembly that was easily integrated onto Benetel's PCB. With Taoglas's design and manufacturing support, the entire process from design to a fully tested evaluation board was completed in just six months. This collaboration enabled the successful and timely rollout of Benetel's flagship RAN550 radio unit.
