GoDaddy’s eight-person CSIRT, led by Jason White, struggled to scope incidents quickly and lacked reliable visibility across endpoints in a mobile-first environment where employees use laptops and bring risky software from home. Existing tools left investigations slow and incomplete, increasing the risk of undetected intrusions and data exfiltration.

After piloting Tanium, GoDaddy deployed the Tanium Core Platform and Security Suite to automate IOC searches, block malicious hashes, deploy patches at scale, and run hourly endpoint queries. The team now investigates machines in real time, dramatically reduced mean time to recover and IT outages, remediates malware faster, and has extended Tanium to IT operations (for example, quickly identifying a problematic Thunderbolt monitor), boosting overall IT productivity and enabling further automation.
