National Insurance Company, a large national insurer with more than 80,000 employees, planned a new New York City headquarters and sought to cut real estate costs by implementing a flexible workplace program called Work Smart. Tango Reserve by AgilQuest configured and deployed OnBoard nearly a year before launch to capture utilization data and deliver business intelligence for space planning, consolidation, and lease analysis. The study found average workspace utilization under 50% while each workspace cost nearly $20,000 per year; the flexible program delivered $10M per year in savings at the headquarters and an additional $25M across other buildings, totaling $35M in annual real estate savings.
