Shop Direct, the UK’s second largest pureplay online retailer behind brands like Very.co.uk, Littlewoods.com and VeryExclusive.co.uk, wanted to help customers shop with more confidence online, especially on mobile. To address the challenge of showing the true size of products such as handbags and luggage, it partnered with Tangiblee to test an interactive size comparison tool on product pages.
Tangiblee’s technology was rolled out to mobile shoppers across selected categories, with a controlled A/B test measuring the impact. The feature drove a 10.3% increase in net revenue per visitor and a 7.2% lift in conversion rate, while 17.1% of shoppers who saw it interacted with it for an average of 28.6 seconds; Shop Direct also reported improved customer satisfaction and lower return rates as it expanded the solution to more categories.
