HipVan, an online-only furniture retailer, wanted to overcome a major eCommerce challenge: shoppers were hesitant to buy furniture online because they could not easily judge how items would look in their own spaces. To build trust and reduce purchase friction, HipVan worked with Tangiblee, using its product visualization experience to help customers better evaluate furniture before buying.
Tangiblee was deployed as an A/B-tested pilot, and the results were strong: HipVan saw a 9.1% increase in revenue per visitor, a 7.9% lift in conversion rate, and a 15% reduction in returns. HipVan said Tangiblee delivered a 30x ROI, and the company has since viewed Tangiblee as a core part of its customer experience strategy.
