Snoozebox, a start-up hospitality business, commissioned the design firm tangerine to create a modular, portable hotel room. Their challenge was to design an innovative ensuite room that could offer multiple configurations for different travel groups, all within a compact 3.6 by 2 meter space that could fold in half for transportation on a truck.

tangerine developed an ambitious solution that redefined the entire guest experience. The resulting rooms featured super-sleek metal frames with fold-down beds, allowing for seven different day and night configurations for up to four people. The design included a luxury wet room and was offered in three high-end finishes. The CEO of Snoozebox praised tangerine for their innovative thinking and ability to realize the concept while understanding commercial needs, leading to an exciting and successful outcome.
