The Brazilian low-cost airline Azul faced the challenge of designing a new, more premium cabin interior for its new long-haul international service. Their goal was to improve the customer experience and express a sophisticated style while retaining the brand's fun Brazilian character, all within an 11-month timeframe. They engaged the design firm tangerine for its product design, engineering, and colour, material, and finish services.

Tangerine worked closely with the seat manufacturer to implement smart improvements, including a redesigned storage area with a custom logo bezel, an embossed leather panel, and a new social walk-up bar. The vibrant interior color scheme echoed Brazilian party vibes. The solution was successfully implemented across retro-fitted and new aircraft fleets in time for the launch of Azul's service to Miami and major events in Brazil. The tangerine design helped Azul offer a passenger experience intended to be second to none.
