Tacira expands smart city Wi-Fi across 4 locations with Tanaza

Tacira Technologies, a system integrator focused on smart cities in Brazil, needed a cloud-managed Wi-Fi infrastructure to serve as the foundational point of contact for deploying its digital services in public spaces. The challenge was to integrate and remotely manage a reliable public WiFi network that would enable services like digital signage, smart waste management, and security, while also handling user authentication for marketing. To meet this need, Tacira became an authorized partner using the Tanaza Classic solution.

Using Tanaza Classic, Tacira implemented a centrally managed WiFi solution featuring real-time monitoring, remote firmware upgrades, and configurable splash pages. This allowed them to successfully deploy networks with both public and hidden SSIDs across four different locations in three cities. The solution provided the necessary infrastructure for Tacira's smart services and data collection for marketing campaigns. As a result, Tacira plans to expand into the private sector and has a goal to double or triple its number of deployments and registered users with Tanaza in the next year.
