HCL America Inc., a multinational technology services company with multiple U.S. delivery centers, needed a faster, scalable way to screen large volumes of local candidates while minimizing scheduling bottlenecks and ensuring candidates’ technical ability, communication and commitment. Their prior process relied on resume shortlisting and time-consuming telephonic screenings that yielded low conversion rates (3–5%) and heavy panel coordination.
Talview’s asynchronous video interviewing replaced the initial live screenings, letting evaluators review recorded responses on their schedule and split screening tasks across team members. In six months two evaluators processed 1,200+ candidates, saving about 200 panel hours (67% panel time saved), shortening candidate and evaluation turnaround to 3.8 and 4.8 days respectively, and moving roughly 50% of interviewees to the next round.
