Hewlett Packard Enterprise Delivers Social Media to the Channel

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) wanted to boost social media adoption and effectiveness among its Helion cloud channel partners, many of whom were on LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter but lacked social media maturity and confidence. The EMEA Cloud Channel team needed a simple, fun way to engage not only marketing teams but also sales, presales and executives, plus an easy-to-use analytics platform to measure impact and demonstrate value.

HPE combined internal training with a selfie-driven #HelionFlag campaign that encouraged partners to post photos with a branded flag, and used Talkwalker to track and report performance. The four‑month effort generated 753 tweets/retweets with a potential reach of about 15.9 million, more than 200 contributions from 38 countries, sustained summer activity and clear executive-level participation—outcomes that proved social media’s value to partners and spawned ongoing channel initiatives.
