How iCollege Increased their Completion Rate by 26%

iCollege, an education program in South Africa focused on delivering free courses and job-readiness, faced a manual, cold-calling–and–Excel driven application process that limited reach and candidate completion. To digitize and scale admissions, they partnered with Talkpush and deployed an automated conversational solution, including the chatbot Bandile, to provide a unified, accessible application experience across Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and their careers site.

Using Talkpush’s automation and chatbot, iCollege centralized candidate data, pre-screened applicants, auto-booked interviews, and sent reminders so one recruiter per campus could manage higher volumes. The results: 26,454 applications in 10 months (≈2,645/month), 925 candidates screened monthly, a completion rate above 36% (versus a 10.6% industry average), and 92% applicant satisfaction — while improving tracking, show-up rates, and plans to integrate Talkpush with their ATS.
