RapidSOS, an intelligent safety platform, faced the challenge of deploying a reliable and secure chat system for critical 911 and emergency response scenarios. They required a self-hostable solution to address stringent privacy and security concerns regarding personally identifying information (PII), as well as support for a specific video format. Building their own system was not feasible, leading them to seek a vendor like TalkJS.

RapidSOS implemented the self-hosted, on-premise version of TalkJS using Kubernetes for seamless integration. The solution provided the necessary reliability and security, with the TalkJS team quickly accommodating their request for a specific video format. As a result, RapidSOS now uses TalkJS to power secure and reliable chat in emergencies, with the Head of Product stating "TalkJS just works and is reliable" and that they "absolutely would recommend TalkJS to others."
