Workbank, one of the largest job portals in the Philippines, needed a better way to connect recruiters with candidates after email and phone outreach led to low response rates and complaints about spam. To improve the hiring experience, the team looked for a fast-to-implement messaging solution with strong infrastructure and a good user experience, and chose TalkJS.

Using TalkJS’s chat API and JavaScript SDK, Workbank embedded a 1-on-1 chat into its talent solutions platform, complete with a customizable chat UI and email notifications for offline users. The result was a significant uplift in candidate engagement and response rates, with no complaints after launch; while exact numbers weren’t yet available, Workbank reported increased usage soon after going live.
