A TalkJS Case Study

How Aldrig Alene uses TalkJS chat to bring mental health care to young people

Aldrig Alene, a Danish volunteer organization that supports children and young people facing loneliness, fear, or school difficulties, needed a better way to provide counseling online. After starting with phone and email, they wanted a real-time, persistent chat experience where users could choose a counselor, stay anonymous, and always return to the same conversation with full history.

Using TalkJS Chat API, Aldrig Alene embedded a customizable chat solution into its website so young people could start conversations directly with a dedicated counselor. TalkJS enabled confidential, persistent messaging without the team having to build its own infrastructure or UI, and the result has been more than 300,000 messages exchanged and a chat system that is now their primary counseling tool.
