Saatchi Art, the world’s largest online gallery and platform for emerging artists, wanted to tap into its collector community with a streamlined word-of-mouth referral program. Working with Talkable, it launched a customized referral program in July 2021 and faced the challenge of promoting a Memorial Day early access sale without cannibalizing its evergreen referral efforts.

Talkable solved this by using the existing referral campaign to promote the pre-Memorial Day sale, routing advocate shares to an early access coupon instead of the standard referral reward flow. The campaign ran through email and social media and drove strong engagement, delivering 26X more advocate purchases than the evergreen program and generating a 10.5X ROI during the sale promo period.
