VINCI, a global concessions and construction group with roughly €38.5B in 2015 sales and about 185,000 employees across ~100 countries, faced fragmented HR data spread across multiple SAP HR instances and dozens of payroll systems. This diversity caused stale or duplicate records, security and confidentiality risks, and as many as 30% of internal emails failing to be delivered, undermining communication and talent management.
Working with Jems Group, VINCI implemented Talend MDM with Talend Data Quality and Talend ESB to consolidate HR feeds into a single group directory and assign a unique identifier and SSO to each employee. The platform now holds ~155,000 employee records with D+1 updates, reduced failed emails to 0%, cut data error rates from ~8% to 0.05%, and enabled faster, more secure access to applications and new services like talent management and an internal social network.
