Case Study: Muller Fleisch achieves end-to-end farm-to-supermarket meat traceability with Talend Data Integration

A Talend Case Study

Preview of the Muller Fleisch Case Study

Tracking and tracing meat with a strong sense of responsibility

Müller Fleisch is a third-generation, family-owned German slaughterhouse and meat processor supplying major supermarkets and discounters. The company needed to cover every step of the meat value chain and ensure end-to-end traceability—from farm to supermarket barcode—while integrating production entries with multiple SAP modules and overcoming limits in its previous BI approach.

Müller Fleisch implemented Talend Data Integration (after testing the open-source edition) to provide SAP ETL, 450+ connectors, and a drag-and-drop GUI that sped deployment; migration finished in under a year. Talend now delivers seamless, near-real-time integration into a Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse, producing more reliable, transparent sales and controlling data, faster issue resolution, developer extensibility, and a stable system with no failures since go-live.
