Orange's Gaming and Transmedia Department Analyses its Sales Data Using Talend Data Integration

Orange (France Telecom) needed a reliable way to calculate and manage revenue sharing for its Gaming and Transmedia Department across multiple European countries. The challenge was to aggregate varied sales feeds from 4–5 vendors per country into a single, auditable view to compute commissions and provide country- and vendor-level insight.

Orange implemented Talend Data Integration (after prototyping with Talend Open Studio) to normalize disparate file formats, load data into an ODS and then a MySQL data warehouse, and produce about two dozen automated reports. The solution required only one developer training, fit the company’s open-source strategy, kept existing processes intact, and delivered fast, country-by-country visibility that improved decision-making and commission calculations on a limited budget.
